On April 5, 2026, the Wang Jingwei Irrevocable Trust will host its first major seminar in Tokyo, Japan. Bringing together top scholars from China and Japan, this event will utilize firsthand historical materials to continue the exploration and reflection on East Asian history. It stands as a landmark event for modern history research in 2026.

The distinguished panel of speakers will deconstruct Wang Jingwei and his complex era from the perspectives of Sino-Japanese academic origins, ideological context, and international relations:
Seki Tomohide
Eugene Chiu
A renowned expert in Chinese Intellectual History, Professor Chiu received his Ph.D. from Ohio State University (1984-1992). He served as a Research Fellow at University of California at Berkeley and Distinguished Professor at Tunghai University.
Augustine Pan
A Ph.D. from the University of Auckland's Political Studies Institute (International Relations), has served as a visiting researcher at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University in the United States.
Chu Onpui
Series Editor of the Wang Jingwei & Modern China book series. He has published works such as “Analyzing Ho Mang Hang’s Nanshe Shihua” and “The Guangzhou Incident and Character Analyses in Nanshe Shihua”.
Moderator: Jia Jia
Veteran Chinese journalist, columnist, and co-host of the YouTube channel The Three Musketeers. Currently a Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo, Jia has written columns for numerous publications across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. He is the author of My Tale of Two Cities and Modern China.
