wjwchinanewsAbout the books

Dr. Hugo Lai speaks to Cindy Ho, a granddaughter of Wang Jingwei, about how his interpretation of Wang’s poetry has changed over time and his decision to join the editorial team for the Wang Jingwei & Modern China book series. In this stimulating conversation, Dr. Lai shares and Cindy Ho share favorite Wang poems and their own thoughts from different points of view.

Current events and history will pass and may no longer resonate with those who have not experienced war and struggle. Poetry has the ability to capture the essence of human emotions. Even without the experiences, reading these poems will evoke those feelings. I think this is Mr. Wang’s view on literature, because emotions can be conveyed.HUGO LAI
