On June 13, 2026 Associate Professor Chia-Hsing Ho of National Chung Hsing University History Department will host a seminar entitled “Wang Jingwei and the Search for Modern China”. Associate Professor Wei-Chih Liu of the Department of Chinese Literature, National Cheng Kung University will speak about Wang Jingwei’s poetry as it is interpreted in the context of archival material from the “Peace Movement” and explore Wang’s thought and state of mind.

This presentation coincides with the June 1 publication of Hong Kong scholar Professor Chiu Kay Tang’s in-depth study of Wang’s poems. With analyses of imagery, rhetoric and intellectual connotation, this is a thoughtful appreciation of Wang’s poetry.

At the seminar, Cindy Ho, Wang Jingwei’s granddaughter, Managing Editor of the Wang Jingwei & Modern China series, will introduce the books and reiterate the fact that, to further understand Wang Jingwei, it is essential to read Wang’s other writings in addition to poetry.

Sign up by June 8, receive a copy of Wang Jingwei’s Poetry, while supplies last.
