“Wang Jingwei as a Foreseer Against Communism”

On May 4th and 11th, we are honored to welcome best-selling author Yu Jie and political commentators Sang Pu and Akio Yaita as keynote speakers at two must-see events  moderated by Dr. Gabriel Chai from the New Asia Research Institute as well as Professor Eugene Chiu from Tunghai University. The speakers will re-examine Wang Jingwei’s unique position within the political spectrum of the Republic of China, exploring his critiques of communism within the context of his political actions, and the echoes of Wang’s ideas in today’s cross-strait and international situations.

These seminars seek to revisit those political judgments deliberately obscured by mainstream narratives and historical reflections intentionally forgotten due to ideological propaganda. This rarely discussed topic will be addressed in an open and rational conversation. In an era of unpredictable cross-strait relations and ever-changing global politics, reviewing Wang Jingwei’s political trajectory offers a unique lens to trace the historical origins of our current predicament and understanding the challenges facing both Taiwan and China.

The first seminar will be held in Taipei on May 4th, hosted by Dr. Gabriel Chai, with three speakers participating. The second seminar will move to Taichung on May 11th, with Yu Jie as the keynote speaker and Professor Eugene Chiu as moderator. We warmly welcome all interested individuals to join us—let us seek out the truths buried by history’s mainstream, and rediscover the wisdom forgotten in the mists of politics.
