Within days of one of Taiwan’s strongest earthquakes in decades, Managing Editor of Wang Jingwei & Modern China and Wang Jingwei’s granddaughter Cindy Ho spoke with RTI report Chen Kuo-wei to promote the series latest publications. She discussed how My Books, My Teacher The Diary of Wang Wenxing based on an original manuscript found in the Nanjing Library, records Wang Jingwei’s daughter Wang Wenxing’s accounts of what she witnessed 86 years ago, during the war between China and Japan. The diary not only reveals the anti-Japanese social atmosphere at that time, it also shows Wang Jingwei as a father and teacher.

Most important is the fact that the Diary shows her personality which tells me it was truly written by my mother. Also, the historian who specializez in Wang Jingwei saw the photos from the diary and confirmed it could not have been written by anyone else. CINDY HO
